The Brag Basket is our tradition of sharing. The basket is always free and open all weekend, this one July 6-8, 2012. Have some good news this week? Put it in the Brag Basket.
The first half of 2012 has passed. Time to review the past six months. You can use these six-month questions to get started. Then come share something good with all of us.

Don’t hold back because of that word, “brag.” When you hold back, you hide your good news and accomplishments that might inspire others. Even though I call this the Brag Basket, it’s not really about bragging. It’s about sharing.
What can you do in the Brag Basket?
- introduce yourself
- share some great news from this week
- congratulate a friend
- laugh about something wonderful that you tried that failed
- applaud for each other
Speak up and add yourself or another deserving soul in the comments. It lets you meet each other a bit. Reading each others’ stories brings us a bit closer to being a community.
How does it work? You write a comment on this post. We all cheer, and everyone feels great.
This is not an ad. (I delete the ads.) It’s a conversation with friends. So jump in. And remember to cheer for each other.

My name is Cody.
I started a Radio Show and got lucky enough to have the best first guest a radio show ever had.
Other than that I didn’t do much in the first half of this year.

Cody lies. ;) Actually, Cody did a ton of amazing stuff so far this year, and has a bunch more cooking up.
Besides that, I’m honored Cody let me horn in on his premier of his radio show and shared his audience and community with me.

I’m Mary Baum. I got a book out in three weeks, got my time-to-redesign a StudioPress WordPress theme down to about two days – that’s the part where I take one of their base child themes and rewrite the CSS to make it look totally different – and started shooting my videos in HD.

Congrats, Mary!
Rita Frahm says
My name is Rita Frahm and I live in Ida County, Iowa. This past week I was fortunate to travel to Washington DC with two teams of students from our two school districts who presented at the National Air & Space Museum. Each team had an experiment that had flown in space, one on Atlantis & one on the SpaceX Dragon to the International Space Station. Considering we are in a rural area we are sharing the story about collaboration of our businesses, school districts, local, county & statewide stakeholders to be part of this national STEM learning program. We’re very proud of the efforts of our communities to make this happen for our students!

Rita, those are terrific accomplishments! Congratulations to you and your communities!

@Rita, next time you’re in D.C., look me up! I need more Midwesterners to talk to here on the East Coast.
In first half 2012 I got accepted into a masters level entrepreneurship program at American University, started my new blog and began work on an idea I think will help small businesses & become a successful business itself.

Congratulations, Nick! And welcome to the Brag Basket.
