Brag Basket helps you focus on the good things

By Small Biz Survival

brag basketEach Friday, I open the brag basket as a fun place to give someone a pat on the back, brag, or promote yourself and your projects.

Tony Katz explained why this matters:

It’s ok to have success, it’s ok to have great things happen in your life and it is ok to talk about those things. Embrace the good things that happen and the work that it took to get the good things to happen. Then, focus on more good things, and make them happen. The vision is only achieved through the action.

Last time, Rick bragged on Social Media Breakfast buddies, Mark shared some successes with guest posting, and Merlene made frugal fabulous! Then I bragged on submitting some speaking ideas, and on our friend Chris Penn.

Will you put something in the Brag Basket this week? You can brag on a friend, your own project, yourself, others, anything! You don’t need special permission or anything. Just leave a comment right here. There’s no deadline, so you can brag anytime during the weekend, and I’ll open a fresh Brag Basket each Friday.

    Hey, you asked:
My software/workflow/pipeline tests continue apace, with the idea of producing animation, perhaps little snippets for others, eventually my own productions. Bought a Zoom H2 audio recorder, with the idea of recording voice talent to lip-sync to. I’ll blog my progress, once there is anything interesting to show. Ideas are flowing!

Yes, Rick, of course I asked! That’s what the Brag Basket is for. Those Zooms are cool tools! Congrats on the ideas! Thanks for sharing.

This is cool, just found out about it on twitter (thanks Chris Brogan), tagging it for the future.

I have put more energy into my business this week than I have for months.
    – Redid my coaching forms
    – Got on twitter, found tons of resources and cool people
    – Had an opportunity to set up a podcast with Diana Walker of http://www.thecravingscoach.com
    – Had a new client
    – Reorganized myself, my time, ops procedures
    – Responded on other blogs
    – Wrote for my blog, http://www.LetYourLifeBloom.com

Overall, am excited about what I do and to be working for myself. Lots of inspiration.

Wrote a blog post titled “Five Ways Twitter Will Make You Smarter” and it led to my highest single day number of visits to my blog to date. Actually tripled my previous high. The post also was featured on WordPress.com. It was all rather exciting!

Ah, this is what happens when Chris brags on us!

Vanessa, you have had an amazing week! We would all benefit from taking this kind of review every week. Wow!

Ari, thanks for that compliment! Glad you like it, and hope you will be back.

David, congrats on getting so much attention! Excellent work!

Thank you all for dropping in and being brave enough to brag.
