Brag Basket – Sharing builds community

By Small Biz Survival

brag basketUPDATE: Read Heidi Miller’s great news, below!

Want to feel more connected in the online community? Share something good from your week in the Brag Basket. We promise to applaud for you.

What can you share? Anything good about you, your community, your business. It can be an accomplishment, a goal reached, a positive change, or a new direction. Whatever makes you feel like sharing something good.

How? Just leave a comment. And feel free to expand and tell us about it. We love good stories!

The Brag Basket has no deadline, so you might as well brag now!

Positive, eh? Well, in the last few months, it’s become really clear that the tradeshow spokesperson biz isn’t what it once was. So, as much as I love being a spokesperson (and I will continue to be for some select new and old clients), I’ve decided to launch a new venture.

I’m really excited! I launched www.podcastingprincess.com two weeks ago, and one of my first projects as the PP is the upcoming seminar I’m creating with Amy Gahran, Creating Passionate Communities with Blogs and Podcasts, in Wheaton, IL on May 12. (For details, go here: www.regonline.com/passion).

Probably the ONLY thing I’m as passionate about as speaking is podcasting and the power of social media to build communities, so this new direction is scary but really exciting!

Way to go, Heidi! I’m so proud of you launching a new venture. “Scary but exciting” is a great description, and a good omen. Boring business ideas don’t last long, I bet!

I hope the seminar is packed! Be sure to get in touch with your local Small Business Development Centers, networking groups, and schools of all kinds to fill those seats with interested people.

Congratulations on this new launch!
