The Brag Basket is open! This one is for July 17-19, 2015. Bring your good news to share with everyone. Just tell the story!

What can you do in the Brag Basket?

  • introduce yourself
  • share some great news from this week
  • congratulate a friend
  • applaud for each other
  • confess your undying love for rural places

How do you join in?

Below this post is the comment section. Add your good news there.

Reading this in your email? Hit reply.

Don’t like to brag? Just share some good news for yourself or a friend.

Just don’t make it an ad. I delete the ads that people stick in here. If you talk more about the people involved than the things, you’ll be fine.

It’s a conversation with friends. So jump in. And remember to cheer for each other.

  1. Well the good news is that my site is back online. Monday night (Amsterdam time) it was taken down by my hosting provider. There was an issue with one of my domain names that redirected to one page on my website.
This domain name included the name of a big brand. They had send me two warnings and I somehow missed these. After lots of worry, thinking, asking advices my site was finally back up Tuesday night.

    1. How awful. But good for you for getting the site back!

  2. Hi everyone,

I haven’t yet introduced myself but have been a fly on the wall of this virtual community for a bit. Firstly, let me express sincere gratitude to Becky for raising her voice in support of rural places (Becky, I referred you to someone in Asheville, North Carolina last week who may be in touch!). Secondly, I am a lover of rural places and live in one that 300 of us call home. We landed here after dubbing ourselves corporate and city life refugees. We love it! Thirdly — an perhaps most importantly — my name is Lisa and I help careerists step confidently and courageously towards “what’s next” on their career map without getting derailed by fear, doubt and inaction.

I am cheering us all on in support of rural communities and small businesses!

    Yours and on your team,
    Lisa

  3. I’m celebrating a new approach. I wanted to do a webinar to promote my new online class Fundraising 101. It turns out my $20 “Crisis in Nonprofit Leadership” was even more popular than the course was up to that point!

I’m blown away by how much more seriously people take a webinar when they’ve invested in it. And I’m heartened that people are actually making changes to their nonprofits based on the research I presented!
