I’m really new at the tourism game as the Conversation & Visitors Bureau director for the City of Gatesville, Tx. With some enthusiastic citizens, we’ve formed Keep Gatesville Beautiful & have mounted a clean up & beautification effort – see our Facebook page @KeepGatesvilleBeautiful. A citizen also started a Facebook group called Gatesville Rocks. Members paint and hide rocks around town. It has been a very positive activity for kids and adults. Keep Gatesville Beautiful and Gatesville Rocks have combined efforts in our Be A Part of the Art project. (See poster below). We will be exhibiting the painted rocks in front of the library. I’ll share pictures & stories soon! I look forward to reading more about what is working in your town!
Welcome, Cheri! I love both beautification projects and painted rock hunts! Congrats!
