Reader Sherry Miller of Wister, Oklahoma, shares her cat, Diva, taking possession of her basket. Thanks, Sherry!
We’re starting something new with the Brag Basket. The Brag Basket is going on a tour, visiting and celebrating our readers. To get started, we’re stopping in Wister, Oklahoma. That’s as far away from me as you can get and still be in Oklahoma. Reader Sherry Miller of Wister shares her cat, Diva, taking over one of her baskets. Let’s visit Lake Wister State Park for some fishing while we’re here.
Want to be on the tour? Send us a basket photo that you’ve taken, a link to your favorite local attraction, and we’ll add you to the tour. The photo can feature any kind of basket, but it should be one you’ve taken, and preferably in your home town. Email your submissions to bragbaskettour@smallbizsurvival.com.
Yes, we’re still doing our traditional sharing in the Brag Basket, too. This basket is free and open all weekend, June 21-23, 2013.
What good news will you add to the brag basket?
Don’t hold back because of that word, “brag.” When you hold back, you hide your good news and accomplishments that might inspire others. Even though I call this the Brag Basket, it’s not really about bragging. It’s about sharing.
What can you do in the Brag Basket?
- introduce yourself
- share some great news from this week
- congratulate a friend
- laugh about something wonderful that you tried that failed
- applaud for each other
Speak up and add yourself or another deserving soul in the comments. It lets you meet each other a bit. Reading each others’ stories brings us a bit closer to being a community.
How does it work? You write a comment on this post. We all cheer, and everyone feels great.
This is not an ad. (I delete the ads.) If you talk more about the people involved than the things, you’ll be fine.
It’s a conversation with friends. So jump in. And remember to cheer for each other.
