Hey, it’s dark in here! We need your good news to light things up in the Brag Basket. Photo by igorovsyannykov on pixabay

What can you share in the Brag Basket?

  • introduce yourself
  • share some great news from this week
  • celebrate progress, even baby steps
  • congratulate a friend
  • applaud for each other
  • confess your undying love for rural places

Hi! Kerry Redshaw, Director of Monticello Main Street, Monticello, IL. As a follow up to our 5 week Entrepreneurial Bootcamp, we hosted our first CONNECT group. We invited all past bootcamp participants to meet and share their experiences with one another. The group was made of folks who have now started a new business, are in the midst of getting one open, and those still refining their ideas. 7 individuals showed up, and it was a great time of encouragement and idea sharing. The evening was greatly appreciated by all!

Sharon Kurland sent this great news by email:
Jamaica, Vermont, held its first annual Holiday Fest at our historic Town Hall. We sold and made wreaths, swapped cookies and potato latkes, listened to live music and went caroling. Lit the Town Tree and a Menorah. Did kids crafts and held a great raffle. That’s what Town Halls are for. Happy Holidays!

Sounds like a lot of great ways to build community! Cheers, Sharon!
