The Brag Basket is overflowing with good news.

The Brag Basket is open! This one is for April 14-16, 2017. Bring your good news, big or small, to share with everyone.

What can you share in the Brag Basket?

  • introduce yourself
  • share some great news from this week
  • celebrate progress, even baby steps
  • congratulate a friend
  • applaud for each other
  • confess your undying love for rural places

Get some inspiration by reading the terrific stories from Wall, South Dakota, and Dunn, North Carolina, in last week’s Brag Basket.

How do you join in?

Holly sent this by email, and it’s too good not to share in the Brag Basket:
“I thought you might find this idea of interest.

The Jim Thorpe Tourism Agency and Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporation have created a joint promotion to encourage our residents to come to town to shop, enjoy our attractions and dine in our restaurants before merchants get busy for the weekend. Kicking off in April, the first ever Third Thursday promotion will be April 20, 2017. During every Third Thursday, shops and attractions will stay open until at least 8:00 p.m. allowing residents ample time to enjoy the numerous businesses throughout town. Free parking throughout town after 5:00 p.m. also promotes patrons to stay and enjoy town while not having to spend money on the meters. Participating restaurants may offer special dishes, beverages or even discounts; shops may have unique offerings and accommodations and services are encouraged to hold open houses. The main goal of this program is to increase awareness and participation in local offerings from our neighbors and nearby towns.”
