  1. One of our banks sponsored a SHOP LOCAL campaign during December. Merchants received T-shirts to wear on Fridays which advertised the campaign and the bank’s sponsorship. Each customers who made a purchase put name and phone number on a ticket. Three local charities received 100 tickets each. Drawings were held on Fridays at the bank with more tickets being added each week. The food pantry won twice, and individuals won $500 each up to about $2500 total. Our computer allows us to store customer information, so I entered the phone numbers of hundreds of new customers. The bank got a free mention each time I offered a ticket. It was a win for me, a win for the bank and a win for Winnsboro, TX. BTW it was Mineola Community Bank.
