Share the love in the Brag Basket

By Small Biz Survival

The Brag Basket is our tradition of sharing. The basket is always free and open all weekend, this one Feb 15-17, 2013. What good news will you add to the brag basket?

Sweetheart
It’s just after Valentine’s Day, so share the love
in the Brag Basket.

Don’t hold back because of that word, “brag.” When you hold back, you hide your good news and accomplishments that might inspire others. Even though I call this the Brag Basket, it’s not really about bragging. It’s about sharing.

What can you do in the Brag Basket?

  • introduce yourself
  • share some great news from this week
  • congratulate a friend
  • laugh about something wonderful that you tried that failed
  • applaud for each other

Speak up and add yourself or another deserving soul in the comments. It lets you meet each other a bit. Reading each others’ stories brings us a bit closer to being a community.

How does it work? You write a comment on this post. We all cheer, and everyone feels great.

This is not an ad. (I delete the ads.) If you talk more about the people involved than the things, you’ll be fine.

It’s a conversation with friends. So jump in. And remember to cheer for each other.

A blog client (content coaching and blog design) has taken the world by storm with her HypothroidMom.com site. She was a dream to work with and jumped on every single suggestion we made. In less than a year, she is now being noticed by the influencers in her field. I am just so proud of Dana Trentini!

Judy, that’s a terrific example. Congratulations to Dana!

Wow Judy thank you so much! Becky I am honored to be included here. Thank you. I have envisioned this blog for 3 years since the miscarriage of my baby to hypothyroidism. I hoped to reach a few readers outside of my family and friends, but never did I expect the number of people it has reached in such a short time. It has been a pleasure working with Judy Lee Dunn and her husband Bob Dunn on the creation of my blog. It would not have been possible without them!

Congratulations, Dana. What a proud accomplishment! I know the Dunns are terrific people, too.

Ok, I hate bragging, but I’m going to brag about a few people this morning. Last week I relaunched my online magazine, now called Plum Deluxe [plumdeluxe.com]. It’s now more branded as a lifestyle publication and gives us lots of runway to do some creative things.

But it was a team effort to pull this off. The branding is all the work of Victoria PM [victoriapm.com] who I cannot more enthusiastically recommend you work with if you need any branding help.

Carey, Margo, Carrie, Sarah, Mike -> that’s the core team, and I couldn’t do it without them. In fact, someone during the launch told me they had team envy. Can’t lie: it’s a good feeling to have a strong support team around you.

Andy, congratulations to you and to your whole team on the relaunch. And thanks for bragging, even though you hate to. :)

I’d like to brag about Dave Seah [daveseah.com]. He’s a very creative designer who has developed a number of productivity tools. I’ve been following his work for several years now. All this time he has bravely shared all the ins and outs of his journey and what he’s learning, as well as his files for anyone who wants to try them, on his web site for the benefit of others. This month he challenged himself to create a product a day! And he hasn’t missed a day yet. Imagine the commitment and discipline that takes. I only wish I could be that courageous and inspire others the way he has inspired me!

Linda, this is an excellent inspiration. Amazing what we can do when we challenge ourselves. I love Dave’s tools, all the way back to his Printable CEO. Great stuff!
