Lost your marbles? Join us in the Brag Basket

By Small Biz Survival

The Brag Basket is our tradition of sharing. And I’m feeling a little crazy this week, so if you’ve lost your marbles, too, join us!

Simple Treasures
We got the marbles you lost right here!

The basket is always free and open all weekend, this one Feb 17-19, 2012. Have some good news this week? Put it in the Brag Basket.

Don’t hold back because of that word, “brag.” When you hold back, you hide your good news and accomplishments that might inspire others. Even though I call this the Brag Basket, it’s not really about bragging. It’s about sharing.

What can you do in the Brag Basket?

  • introduce yourself
  • share some great news from this week
  • congratulate a friend
  • laugh about something wonderful that you tried that failed
  • applaud for each other

Speak up and add yourself or another deserving soul in the comments. We all cheer, and everyone feels great. It lets you meet each other a bit. Reading each others’ stories brings us a bit closer to being a community.

How does it work? You write a comment on this post.

This is not an ad. (I delete the ads.) It’s a conversation with friends. So jump in. And remember to cheer for each other.

Gotta tell ya, I’ve never consider myself a writer and because of that, I’ve not really considered having a blog related to my business. A few weeks ago at the Big Rural Brainstorm in Newton, Kansas, I was talking with a gentleman who Tweets and blogs about what goes on in his day to day life. During our conversation, he encouraged me to start a blog and relate what life is like on our farm, which in turn relates to our agritourism business. Well, @Brunkow, got me thinking and now I have a blog! You can find it at http://kansasflinthillstours.blogspot.com/ I just hope I don’t run out of things to say!!

Congratulations! So proud of you for starting. You’ll never run out of things to say, but here are 18 different topics you can blog about.

    Becky (and readers),

I recently attended a Bar Camp at University of Northern Iowa and received a followup form and began exploring the links, one was Entrefest. Entrefest is an event that happens every year in Iowa for entrepreneurs. They asked me as a small business owner to fill out a questionaire online and of course I agreed. They did mention they’d pick a winner for a new iPad.

Well — you guessed, I WON!!!!

What a good Friday it is here indeed. It’s a perfect tool for Debworks as I am on the road so much. Now I can leave my laptop at home sometimes. Joy at the Brown house!

    Deb

Yay, Glenda! You sure can’t sell it until you get it on sale!
