Even though I call this the Brag Basket, it’s not really about bragging. It’s about sharing. I started this so you can introduce yourself, share some good news, or congratulate a friend.
The basket is open all weekend, from August 27-29, 2010.
Speak up and add yourself or another deserving soul in the comments. We all cheer, and everyone feels great. It lets you meet each other a bit. Reading each others’ stories brings us a bit closer to being a community.
How does it work? You write a comment on this post, email me, tweet me, or comment on Facebook. You tell something great about your week, or you give applause to someone who did good stuff this week. Or you celebrate something wonderful that you tried that failed.
This is not an ad. (I delete the ads.) It’s a conversation with friends. So jump in. And remember to cheer for each other.

The people coming in, whether they are buying or not, are full of great stories. My favorite this week so far is the little girl who loves hot sauce and asked her Mom if she could cook dinner at their campsite with the sauce they were buying…Yay kid! Or maybe it was the woman who lives up here but is Puerto Rican and will be coming by Culebra this winter. Chili heads rock!
Becky McCray says
MJ, I love sharing stories. :) Thanks for jumping in.

Just a shout out to my Wife Amy for walking the 60 miles and raising $2,844 for the Breast Cancer 3-day in Michigan. To my daughter Kelsey and Daughter-in-law Steph for the great job they did crewing.
A Huge WHOOOO HOOOO,
Great Going.
I’m Proud of all of you.
Love ya.
Sandy

A round of applause to Amy, Kelsey and Steph!
Connie Reece says
Adding my applause to Becky’s — I appreciate EVERYBODY who walks or rides to fight cancer. 60 miles??? That’s awesome!

One brag for 12 year old niece who donated her long hair to Locks of Love as a tribute to her grandma, aka “Mom Mom.”
One brag for me because I convinced a small business client that he desperately needed a rebranding of his longtime logo + site if I was going to provide social strategies for him. $269 and dozens of crowdSPRING submissions later, he’s IN LOVE with the identity that extends throughout the site. Now he understands that his site is the hub of all his future social web activity. Score one for me…and for him too. ;)
Becky McCray says
Karyn, thank you for joining us. A pat on the back to your neice. And a cheer for you (and your client)!
FaroYukon says
Congratulations to Amy, Kelsey, Steph and Karyn’s niece! And definite congrats to Karyn.
I’m sheepishly bragging on myself because I finally finished a report that has been haunting me since mid-July, and I just sent it off to our legal beagles for their perusal. I feel like a 50 pound weight has been removed from my shoulders!
Becky McCray says
I know that feeling of relief well, because I’ve procrastinated on my share of heavy projects!
Glenda Watson Hyatt says
Is simply surviving til the weekend enough of something to brag about? It has been one of those weeks!
Becky McCray says
Glenda, if looking forward to next week is good news for you, then we’ll take it!
Our friend Tom Egelhoff sent this note:
“My book, “How to Market, Advertise and Promote Your Business or Service In Your Own Backyard” by Tom C Egelhoff (Wiley) has been selected #44 of the 50 Best Business Books for Women | The Work at Home Woman – http://ow.ly/2rRhC “
Congrats, Tom!

Wayne McEvilly here: I am bragging on the fact that a lady I respect said I allowed her to remember how beautiful classical music is. I felt good about that, because that’s why I’m here-to share the beauty of what people call “classical music”-but especially Bach & Mozart.
Becky McCray says
Wayne, thank you for sharing your musical gifts with all of us.
