Put a pat on the back in the Brag Basket

By Small Biz Survival

Each weekend, I open the Brag Basket. It’s designed as a fun place for you to share your projects and accomplishments. But you can also cheer for other people, give shout outs, congratulate, and even give someone a well-deserved pat on the back.

The Brag Basket is open for everyone, whether from a small town, a big city, or anywhere in the world. (But it’s true that I love small town brags!)

Will you put something in the Brag Basket this week? You can brag on a friend, your own project, yourself, others, anything! You don’t need special permission, and you don’t have to be from a small town. Just leave a comment right here. There’s no deadline, so you can brag anytime during the weekend, and I’ll open a fresh Brag Basket each Friday.

I’ll be out of pocket this weekend, so you’ll have to cheer for each other in the comments!

It took me reading Mama Gena to learn how to brag, and now I love it! My brag is that I am putting on the first UK divorce fair this March, and getting national press (and hopefully TV coverage) even though I’ve never done anything like this before. I’ve succeeded by keeping my vision strong, and am making sure I create something of real value through putting on the Starting Over Show in Brighton that’s going to help people start over and change their lives for the better. SOS is the kind of event that is born out of a creative and passionate small business person like myself, because small businesses rock!

Wow, Suzy! Good for you on two counts. One for learning how to happily talk about your own accomplishments, and two for putting together such an awesome event! Congratulations!

Congratulations on your 1,000th post here Becky, and encouraging us all to do and be more… and to brag about it!

One way or another I ended up with 3 different enquiries this morning, for blog coaching, help producing a book, and supporting people to write policy documents and reports in a local council. All, one way or another, found me through my blog. This social media stuff can seem like a slow burn at times… but it does work, and the quality of the connections and relationships that you get on the back of it are second to none.

Not bad for holiday planning either ;-)
