Melyn Johnson, Oklahoma Tourism Department, said this of women travelers:
What do women always remember? Whether the bathroom was clean, and whether the food was good.
I think it applies to all of us. Are we taking care of the basics?

At least one company gets this: Buccees truck stops. Their billboards advertise that they have great restrooms. And they do. Nice tile on the floors and wall etc, really surprising for a truck stop.
Great example, John.
All of us can take this reminder to focus on the critical things our customers will remember, and to be sure we do them right.
This post really hits a key point for all business. Remember to keep a handle on the details. Sometimes businesses are so focused on the big picture that they forget about the details and it kills them. Those details are usually what keeps people coming back.
I would also add QuikTrip gas stations to the list of companies that are good at this concept. They always have clean restrooms, windshield fluid is always full, garbage cans are usable, etc. Too many times the details are lost.
Good Post. Thank you

Thanks, Jeremy. A second part of this message is that a few key details make all the difference. Are we watching those details? Have we taken time to figure out which are essential?
