“Despite the seemingly bad news, people still have lots of stuff to brag about.” Marco Terry, in last week’s Brag Basket.
Each week, I open the Brag Basket. Obviously, it’s designed as a fun place for you to share your projects and accomplishments. But you can also cheer for other people, give shout outs, congratulate, and even give someone a well-deserved pat on the back.
The Brag Basket is open for everyone, whether from a small town, a big city, or anywhere in the world. (But it’s true that I love small town brags!)
Will you put something in the Brag Basket this week? You can brag on a friend, your own project, yourself, others, anything! You don’t need special permission, and you don’t have to be from a small town. Just leave a comment right here. There’s no deadline, so you can brag anytime during the weekend, and I’ll open a fresh Brag Basket each Friday.
The rural small business blog. We talk about small town business, with how-to articles, especially on social media marketing and making your community a better place. We use this “author” for announcements and other things you’ll want to know.
Marco, congratulations on the new site! Bonus points for your creative link back to our article, too! I laughed. :)
Thanks, Becky!
We finished our Christmas cards. No small accomplishment!
And yes, people still like getting paper, in spite of how wonderful our beloved internet it.
Good job, Paul! My sister does paper, too. I admire y’all for that!
Hi Becky, I got a good interview this week from you! Goes up on Monday on my blog. Also, the latest post at http://www.debworks.com is all about miracles, prayer and a story – I cried writing it and I hope others can as well. Braggin’ on my writing! Deb
Go, Deb! I’m off now to read your latest story! And I’m excited to have been interviewed. You asked some real thought-provoking questions.
One of our contributors, Zane Safrit, was quoted by one of our friends and readers Mark Harbeke of Winning Workplaces, and then that got picked up by the Toronto Globe and Mail!
Wondering what is and is not allowed in the comments? Or how to get a nifty photo beside your name? Check our commenting policy. Use your real name, not a business name.

Howdy!
Glad you dropped in to the rural and small town business blog, established in 2006.
We want you to feel at home, so please take our guided tour.
Good morning! I have a brag. After lots of work (mostly by hiring a paid consultant) the new web site of our sister company (Invoice Factoring Group) is finished!

Here’s Mark’s story:
Are Employees at Bigger Companies Really Happier?
And here’s the Globe and Mail Story:
When it comes to employee happiness, does size matter?
Cool! Congrats to Zane!
