The untitled Brag Basket

By Small Biz Survival

brag basketEach Friday, I open the Brag Basket. Obviously, it’s designed as a fun place for you to brag on your projects and accomplishments. But you can also cheer for other people, give shout outs, congratulate, and even give someone a well-deserved pat on the back.

The Brag Basket is open for everyone, whether from a small town, a big city, or anywhere in the world. (But it’s true that I love small town brags!)

Last week, we had a fun group:

  • MacPhilly bragged on Jane “Cybergal”
  • Patrick of Stop Doing Nothing dropped in, after we met at OpenBetaOKC
  • Manx203 shared his pride in TechBurgh‘s growth
  • –Deb of Punctuality Rules enthused about our democracy
  • Mousewords applauded all the Twitter friends who are participating in National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo)
  • Bob of Pixels and Code told how he is bringing in others for support in his project
All very cool.Congrats to everyone!
Will you put something in the Brag Basket this week? You can brag on a friend, your own project, yourself, others, anything! You don’t need special permission, and you don’t have to be from a small town. Just leave a comment right here. There’s no deadline, so you can brag anytime during the weekend, and I’ll open a fresh Brag Basket each Friday.

Yay on my new Hubbie who found out this week he IS getting a promotion after all and will soon be the Director of Purdue’s Envision Center. He so deserves this and will ROCK at it.

Wow! Congratulations to your NEW hubbie, and on the promotion, too! Now I want to know what the Envision Center is. Off to search…

    Thanks, Roguepuppet!

Oh, and while I’m here, I have my own items. I have two new clients in my inbox in the past couple of weeks. I got to have my picture taken for a magazine interview that I owe to JenX67, and I got a new laptop! Woohoo!

    Hi Becky,

Happy Friday!! Just wanted to note that I completed my very first triathlon last week in Miami. It was international distance .6mile swim, 24mile bike, and 6.6mile run and it really was great fun.

I did the triathlon as part of my efforts with TrainforHumanity.org. So not only did I get in shape but I helped to raise some awareness and funds for orphans and refugees who are being affected by the genocide in Darfur.
