Our Brag Basket Runneth Over!

By Small Biz Survival

brag basketEach Friday, I open the brag basket as a fun place to brag or promote yourself and your projects.

Last week, Kim shared a compliment from a colleague, our own Maesz was proud to be still learning, Erica shared some recent writings, Jim celebrated a completed project and its payoff, Shashi bragged on interviewing me and on his new site, I bragged on me (and Chris) for the success of the Checklists for your first small biz article, Scott was pleased to be featured twice (twice!) in the WSJ, Connie proudly stirred up a hornets nest, Bob introduced himself, and our own OkieJ rounded things out by razzing me! WOW, what a week! What will you put in the Brag Basket this week?

You can brag on a friend, your own project, yourself, others, anything! You don’t need special permission or anything. Just leave a comment right here. There’s no deadline, so you can brag anytime during the week, and I’ll open a fresh Brag Basket each Friday.

Wanted to brag on Phillip Zaninni aka phillymac on twitter. He spoke at our weekly company meeting at Bulldog Solutions called Friday Morning Live. He did a presentation on usability and used our website as an example. It really sparked some great conversations here at the office!

This week I began a degree completion program and I’m kinda proud of myself for returning to school after all these years and taking control of my future, etc. But the thing I *really* want to brag about (as in rub it in) is that this class consists of reading and assimilating material, writing what could essentially be considered blog posts about it and then reading others’ “blog posts” and commenting.

Um … I think I can do that.

Kim, so glad you bragged on @phillymac! What an outstanding guy! Glad it also sparked conversation for you, too.

Anna, major congratulations on returning to complete your degree! And I love your assignments. What a great way to think of it, as something you already do well! Congrats!

    Becky,
I wanted to brag on conversations.com and my friend and colleague, Mike Sansone for hearing my ideas and believing in me. We have been speaking to local businesses about supporting schools and started S.A.L.T.(http://www.supportalocalteacher.org). We are getting great response!

Angela, what a great project! And that Mike is an amazing resource. Glad to hear you are getting great response!

Folks, S.A.L.T. is providing a terrific service, and is something you could easily get involved in or replicate.
