See you at SXSW

By Becky McCray

This year, I’ll attend my first all-technology conference.

South by Southwest Interactive festival in March in Austin includes all sorts of interactive technology. Austin is close enough to drive, so I’m going!

Before I go, I’m taking Jeff Pulver’s pre-conference advice to plan and set some goals.

So, if you’re going, leave me a comment. One of my goals is to meet as many of you as I can!

Me and my hopelessly outdated, non-smartphone will be there. So we’d better xchange info in advance, because I won’t be able to find you via the Twitter.

Hi Becky, SXSW was my first tech conference also! That was in 2000 and it seemed to be more design than tech. I was just checking out the panel list and wow, it has grown a lot since then. There’s quite a few cool topics. I do like the variety. Well, have fun…I will not be there though. I went to 6 conferences last year and am kind of burned out!

Sandra, I can certainly understand conference burnout. But since you are a Texan, maybe you can put SXSW09 on your calendar. Hope to see you again soon, though.

    Hi Becky,
I just found your site and am getting homesick reading about SXSW! I just moved from Austin so I will miss the buzz that goes on there during that time.
I am excited to read more about small biz survival since moving my business to a new location has proven to be challenging.
Let me know if you need any Austin restaurant recommendations.
    Have a great time!

La Vida Cocoa, please to meet you. Moving a business is a huge challenge, but can also mean huge opportunity to reinvent, re-examine, and renew. Hope to hear more from you about the custom chocolates business! Yum!
