Each Friday, I open the brag basket as a fun place to brag or promote yourself and your projects.
Last week, Barbara bragged about a success with a client, Jeanne bragged on her classic car, and Phil was back to brag on his personal branding teleseminar.
What will you brag about this week? You can brag on your business, your community, or your self. You can even brag on other folks, if you want. It’s fun, and you get a link back, not to mention applause from us.
You can leave a comment right now or dm me on Twitter.
The Brag Basket has no deadline, so don’t wait. Brag now!

Hey Becky.
I’ve enjoyed getting to know your blog a bit better in recent weeks.
I’d like to brag about a blog we put together that is promoting the results of the State of Corporate Citizenship survey – which looks at attitudes of business leaders concerning their role in the community, their views of challenges, etc. It’s a joint effort by The Hitachi Foundation and the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship and is unique in that it incorporates the views of small businesses.

I was deemed smart enough to hang with Brian Solis, Marshall Kirkpatrick, Marc Orchant and Cathryn Hrudicka in an online PR roundtable this week. Yes, I have them all fooled ;)
Becky McCray says
Derek, thanks for jumping in the brag basket. You’ve built a terrific thought-provoking site! Thanks for sharing, and congratulations!
Doug, great job! That is quite a crowd to be round table-ing with! Congratulations!

Hi Becky!
I officially landed the marketing job I was really hoping for *and* they accepted my counter offer for a higher salary! YAY!
Becky McCray says
Woohoo, Erica! Congratulations! Way to go on salary negotiations, too!
Lea "LIP" Woodward says
Hey Becky, crossed over from Twitter – scary!
But my brag this week is the fact that I’ve held the very 1st paperback copy of my own book about being a LIP (location independent professional) in my sticky little mitts for the first time! Very exciting!
Have a great weekend, tweet you later.
Lea
Becky McCray says
Welcome, Lea! That must have felt terrific, to hold it in your own hands. Congratulations! It is an outstanding book!

Hey Becky,
I’m very happy that I bulled my way through learning elementary Ruby on Rails database programming. I’m not completely conversant in it yet, but I was able to set up a decidedly non-trivial schema using a book and my programmer’s intuition. Happy, happy! Hope to have a cool social networking site coming your way in a few more weeks.
Jeanne says
Hey Becky, can you believe it’s me two weeks in a row! This week I can brag that I actually set up a new blog site for my HS graduation class! Three of my classmates have been there and posted comments. I need to figure out how to entice them to start posting to the site. Any suggestions?
Jeanne
Becky McCray says
Wow, Joe! Terrific work! I’m impressed with your programming mojo! Looking forward to seeing your work.
Jeanne, I’m so proud of your adventures in new media. You can always just push ’em into it, like I did with you! Just sign ’em up, and give ’em assignments! Or maybe start by asking them to write something that you’ll post for them. Great job!
Connie Reece says
Becky, I did something fun that also ties in to my personal brand — got hot pink highlights put in my hair. Also, I’m stepping waaaay out of my comfort zone to do some video clips for the blog, and I recorded an interview with Anna Farmery of The Engaging Brand podcast. Live interviews are nerve wracking, but I did it anyway, so I’m bragging! :)
Becky McCray says
You, go, Connie! You packed a lot into that one brag! You astound me with your constant learning and growing. I’m so glad you stopped in to brag!
Mark says
Hi Becky,
Long time no type. I’d like to brag about the 74 nominations we already have in for our Top Small Workplaces 2008 recognition project with The Wall Street Journal. We’re ahead of where we were a year ago, so that’s cool. I would like to encourage your readers to nominate their company or one they think treats their workers well on our site, or by visiting wsj.com/small-business. I just checked the nominee record from last year and I see that only 2 came in from Oklahoma, out of about 850, so the Okies need to step it up this year. ;-) Thanks.
Becky McCray says
Howdy, Mark! Great to see you back again! The Top Small Workplaces project has really taken off. Congratulations!
Maybe I’d better poke around for some worthy Oklahoma nominees!
