Brag Basket goes multi-media

By Small Biz Survival

brag basketOnce a week, I offer this post as a safe place to brag or promote yourself and your projects, because we all deserve some friendly recognition.

Last week, we had brags in all forms! Phil Gerbyshak called in a brag about Positive Thinking Day. I used the comments to brag on our friend Laura Allen for her interview on ABC about the 15 Second Pitch. Jon Swanson used Twitter to send his brags on his August blogging project and his family. Our new friend Tatsuya Nakagawa called in his first brag, for finishing the new book Overcoming Inventoritis.

What will you brag about this week? You can brag on your business, your community, or your self. You can even brag on other folks, if you want. It’s fun, and you get a link back, not to mention applause from us.

You can leave a comment right now, or Twitter me.

The goal is to encourage you to review your week. Learned anything? Made any accomplishments you’d like to share? It doesn’t have to be something HUGE; just something positive you feel like sharing. We’ll happily applaud.

The Brag Basket has no deadline, so don’t wait. Brag now!

I stepped out and started talking with VC companies last week. It was my first time speaking with VCs and the second time going after my own startup. It scared the *CRAP* out of me, and going out tomorrow to a VC specific event is even scarier. What could be worse? Sitting in my house tomorrow night knowing that I could be pursuing my dream. Never underestimate the power of a dream to move you.

I’ve finally made it to #3 spot Blog for a Year! Next stop is second place – with your help.

And, while I’m here, I’d like to brag on my husband Darrell for finishing his second podcast. Way to go!

Just thinking about the number of people who heard that the president was in Iraq and immediately thought: Jim! Jim Long, of course who has built a network with people who care. And then he tells his stories of the secret flight. And this same group of people is caring about two people in the hospital, another person who went through some child problems, concerns about a dad, and more that I don’t even know about.

    Pretty cool people in here.
