It’s that time again! Brag Basket time! Once a week, I offer this post as a safe place to celebrate a little. You can brag on your business, your community, or your self.
The goal is to encourage you to review your week. That’s how you learn: by reviewing your performance.
Brags don’t have to be something HUGE; just something positive you feel like sharing. Feel free to expand a bit, use a few paragraphs. We’ll happily applaud.
The Brag Basket has no deadline, so don’t wait. Brag now!

Hi Becky,
I’m feeling a little self-conscious about turning the spotlight in my own direction, but since I think the deliverable might be worthwhile to your readers, I’m going to squint into the lights.
My big “brag” this week an 11-page e-booklet that celebrates the marketing genius of Walt Disney.
I had written an 8-part series on my blog while on vacation — observing some marketing truths and insights from Walt Disney World. It has now been transformed into a PDF that people can download and share. The story of how it the PDF came to be and the content itself has been picked up in several places along the blogosphere, including MarketingProfs Daily Fix. So it can’t be all bad!
You can get your own copy of the PDF and read the whole story at: http://www.drewsmarketingminute.com/2007/01/it_started_inno.html
I’m excited to share it with your readers!
Thanks for creating the venue to celebrate a little!

Hi, Drew! Thanks for stepping up to the lights!
I’ve been watching your series and your e-book develop, so I’m glad you chose to reach out and brag.
Sounds like a project worth mentioning in our Resources series!
Congratulations on the good response your work has earned.

Becky,
Thanks for your warm welcome. That would be great if you included the e-booklet in your resources section.
I’d love to have more people be able to access and find value in it.

Hi Becky,
We have a great brag this week: The nominations we’ve received as part of the Top Small Workplaces recognition program we’re doing with The Wall Street Journal have passed the 450 mark! (Your readers may want to go into your archives and see our announcement/podcast from November 2006 for background.) We hope to ultimately receive half as many completed applications (225 or so) by the application deadline of March 1, 2007.
The nomination process actually wraps up on Wednesday this week, Jan. 31. Employees and employers can still nominate an organization by visiting http://www.winningworkplaces.org/topsmallbiz/index.php.
Thanks for helping us spread the word about this new workplace recognition project.
Best Regards,

Congratulations, Mark! I’m impressed that you received 450 nominations, in the first year of the program.
Thanks for sharing ways for all of us entrepreneurs to make our company a better place to work. :)
