It’s Friday! Time for the Brag Basket!
(Actually, you can brag throughout the weekend.)
How does this work? Post a comment about anything to do with your business that you would like to brag about.
So far, only one new person a week is brave enough to brag. Are ya’ feelin’ brave? Then brag away!
Feel free to include a sentence about your business and your home town, if you wish. Bonus points if you are rural/small town!
My point in this exercise is to encourage you to take time to really review your business. That’s how we can learn and grow from those failures or mistakes, and how we can revel in our successes.
My husband and I made it through a tough and potentially dangerous farm project this week, with no major injuries! We replaced an ancient windmill with a solar powered water pump. What made it dangerous was removing the several hundred pound windmill head, dangling by a proverbial thread, from the 20 foot high tower. We finished up the installation last night, and we were so relieved to see it happily pumping water this morning.
Not your usual small business project, hey?
Wow… that’s a heck of a project. I’m amazed by your ability to do this. Exciting stuff.
Um… I didn’t have a heart attack, according to hospital officials.
And let’s see… I recorded a few more podcasts, built a little more collaboration into my projects, and have helped add about 200 new readers to the site where I’m doing most of my work these days.
Go, Chris, go! 200+ new readers, WOW!
Take care, Chris. We need your insight.
My results are not as impressive as Chris’, but hey I’ve just started my blog. Anyway I had a 30eth subscriber to my blog yesterday.
Also 5th link to my blog – from Becky, thanks!
Hurray, Roman! Up from 1 to 30; that’s quite a jump to brag about!
Your blog will continue to succeed because of your honesty and willingness to contradict what “everyone else” says. Keep at it!
Hey folks. I’m new here and two days late to the party, but here goes. As of this week, Marketingtool.com is now consistently exceeding 13,000 unique visitors during the business week. I just published BigDaySmallWorld.com seventeen days ago but Google has already indexed 33,800 pages and I’m getting great organic traffic. NewHorse.com was published less than two months ago but is already exceeding 1,000 daily visitors. In family and farming business related news, my wife competed Saturday at a local dressage show on Eef, our young imported Friesian. She and Eef placed 2nd and 3rd earning great scores, and it was only Eef’s third competition so we’re very proud of him. Potential buyers are already inquiring about Eef so that’s a pleasant surprise, although we’re not interested in selling Eef until after this show season.
Hey Becky, that water pump project sounds prickly! How is the water pump working out so far?
Hurray, Sean! And welcome!
You are this week’s “Louise P.-Get Your Money’s Worth When You Brag” Award Winner! I don’t even know which one to pick out as extra special. All I can say is WOW!
We do this every weekend, so join us again.
The solar pump is working better than we thought. The cost was about the same as replacing the old windmill head, so we are experimenting. Watch for pics soon.
